Smith chooses Baysie as his Senior club

New Western Force wing David Smith was an inspirational presence at Perth-Bayswater's first training run for the 2011 season on a hot Sunday at Pat O'Hara Reserve.

David was an interested observer of proceedings, recovering from a blistering Western Force training session the day before.

A product of Auckland's famous rugby nursery, Mount Albert Grammar, David was mentored by All Black legend Bryan Williams before joining the Auckland squad in 2005. David went on to be drafted to the Hurricanes in 2006 and make the NZ sevens side before the Force snapped him up late last year.
David is signed with the Force for 2011 with a possible extension into 2012, and has chosen Perth-Bayswater as his club in Perth.
