    Bring on next Season!

    Bring on next season.

The force have proved themselves this season and have put the wind up a lot of our opponents and I think that we have garnered a lot of respect from them.

Everyone, including the Crusaders, know that we really won that match and the Cats know that they got out of jail because we didnt have the experience as a unit to close out that match and leave them on the bottom of the ladder bleeding.

In the end our future in the super 14 comp is looking quite good not just because we are picking up Gits and Drew for next season. It is looking good because we will have more time for the players to train together and with the APC and any matches against the Curry Cup sides they will be able to bring the players match skills right up to scratch against quality competition to get us ready for next year.

The things that have come out of this season...
A forward pack that is the equal of any in the competition with some very good lineout jumpers and in Pocock (from the little I saw last night of him... geez he's a big lad for 18 ), we'll have an excellent flanker who isnt afraid to get in there after the ball.

A couple of players who really stood up when the injuries were crippling the team, Sheppard at fullback and Staniforth at outside centre, and led by example.

We also had a couple of good young players make the step up and really develop into the stars of the future.

On the whole, for our first season as a team I think that we have done really well considering that the players had never really played together as a team while the other new franchise came up from the curry cup as a fully fledged team with a lot of experience of playing together as a team.

To be honest, I think that this is going to be the only wooden spoon in our trophy cabinet and in a couple of years, I reckon that it's going to be joined by the Super 14 trophy.

This year for practice. next year for experience and the year after it will be all ours for the taking

Hear hear.....Well said Dramoth. Easily one of the best forward packs. They don`t take any sh*t from no one. And , barring injuries next year, our backs will continue to improve as a unit, and stop annoying the forwards by knocking on, or generally stuffing things. Bring on 07

Nicely put - there'll no doubt be a few of these types of posts - but you beat the rest of us to it Dramoth! I still encourage anyone else who wants to express similar sentiments to do so!

Excellent post Drammoth, and yes the forwards have been mighty this year- now even better with Pocock there. With the new depth in the backs and the ability to cover many positions there, then injuries in the backline won't stuff up the whole team next year like it did this year.

Ah, what would the game be without the friction between the forwards and backs? Great tries scored this weekend by both parties, and even mixtures of the two! Can't wait for 07 now, but in the meantime there's the internationals v England & Tri-series and APC ! A smorgasbord of Rugby !

One of the guys at work mentioned that we easily had the best lineout in the super 14.

The future is nice and rosy for the Force

Well once he's sick of purple and getting injured (seems to be the rage in WA) he might come back.

Me thinks Sage is a tad bitter and is either in need of an optometrist or is attempting to take on 350 TWF members in one go!

As I said before Royal Blue. This is one way to get my post count up, I'll just repeat myself in different threads.

He wouldn't want to go back to a side that has a poofy blue jumper and chokes all the time too.
