    AFL rights could hinder Packer raid on Ten

    Not sure if this should be in "Other Sports" but anyway.........where has the ACCC been while Foxtel has similarly been hindering the FTA coverage of Rugby and NRL????

    Not sure of their exact position with Super Rugby, but Fox owns a half share in the NRL.

    Was it not anti competitive for Foxtel to pay much, much less as a fee to the NRL than it pays the AFL, when the TV audiences are roughly equal?

    JAMES PACKER'S $245 million raid on Network Ten may be blocked because it would reduce competition over the AFL broadcast rights......................
    ......................The plans reportedly include canning the dedicated sports channel One in favour of a Sky News feed from Foxtel and offloading the outdoor advertising business Eye.
