My laptop is an Acer. Spoke to Acer today and they asked me to send the laptop to NSW for them to have a look at it. If they repair/replace it I'll be a happy bloke.

I know a lot of you have been holding your breath waiting to hear the end-result of my laptop drama.

After shipping it to Sydney with 2 months left on the 3 year warranty it arrived back home today repaired and as good as new.

I must say I was impressed with the service from Acer Australia, there were no arguments about the warranty they just went about repairing it and kept me informed via text as to the progress of the job.

For those who are interested the service report stated;

Repair team identified the following;
Abnormal colour was being produced by the video card.

We have performed the following actions;
Replaced faulty ADD-ON CARDS/BOARDS
