    IE 7.0

Has anyone downloaded IE 7.0? It's tabbed like Firefox. I'm trying it out now.

Tabbbed browsing is one of the features in Firefox that I don't use much anyhow, Larry. Just seems to take up a couple of more centimetres of screen with no great advantages over multiple windows. I like Firefox mainly for it's "firewall" features and because it's not Microsoft.

It's still buggy - does well and I preferred its tabs over firefox, but I uninstalled it coz of the bugs (mostly screen display issues on a few sites) - have gone back to Firefox & IE6 when needed now.

I also like firefox portable - Look at www.portableapps.com. In short, you can install all your usual apps and data on a thumb drive, then you can take them with you everywhere you go. If you can use thumb drives at work, it also ensures there is no browsing history left on your work computer (although there will probably be logs on servers)

I like Firefox also because you get less garbage (spyware ect..). Although I tend to use IE much more because of issues with FF. On this site for example FireFox will not let me sign in for some reason.

Many people feel the same way as you about MS. I don't have a problem with them.

I haven't had any bugs yet coach for the little time I've used it.

It would be a 'cookie' issue not allowing you to log in with firefox - play with the cookie settings in FF. Maybe clear them all, and then check to make sure you have them enabled...

No problems with microsoft here either. It's just a case of supporting some competition. I tend to do the same with other goods and services when I can.

I quite liked a few features of IE 7.0 - the thumbnails of tab's feature is pretty good, and also like the way when you wheel-click on a link it opens in the next tab, rather than the last tab like in firefox..

I've been using it at work for a couple of months now, so far so good. I like the tabs, i prefer Firefox, but unfortunately it didn't want to work properly on my computer...

I loaded Opera 9.0 up at work the other day, it looks pretty good too and is probably worth a look at if you are so inclined (www.opera.com) On my Pocket PC, Opera 8.6 (for the PocketPC) is an excellent browser - greaty improvement over Pocket Internet Explorer.

An awesome firefox product is Portable Firefox. In short this is a version of firefox that can be run directly from a thumbdrive, meaning you can carry your favorite browser WITH all its book marks and seetings andwhere you like. there are a good selecion of other "portable" apps also to be found on http://www.portableapps.com

i had IE 7 for a couple of weeks but promptly got rid of it, too buggy. I'll wait until their beta is finished.

Running VISTA at work currently, man it's different...
