    Jokes Gigs, just jokes.

I'm 48 and it'd be 25 years since I've hard of anyway taking 'ludes. I just thought of Quadelude and thought I was very funny.

The one and only time I took a sleeping pill was Singers to London just as dinner was served and spilt red wine over the little asian girl beside me (took about 3 minutes to kick in). I would've nicked some of her stuff but I was asleep.

Read "The Wolf Of Wall Street"
Jordan Belfort tells some great stories about ludes and his drug fueled encounters with prostitutes, flying his helicopter on ludes, alcohol and cocaine and sinking his luxury yacht in the Mediteranean whilst wasted. It's a great read
Also coming to a screen soon starring Leonardo de Caprio as the Wolf.

Quade is entitled to get paid what he thinks he is worth. After all, they have been paying Kid dynacast ridiculous amounts for doing nothing for 5-6 years now.

If the offer is toilet, it deserves to be flushed.

This is professional sport. 2nd division Sooker players wouldn't get out of bed for what our top wallabies get paid.

Pay the lad and put the bullsh1t to bed. Quade is the holy grail

The ARU should pull their heads out of their @rses

All true, but he keeps saying he's not looking at league to up his price, he's apparently serious.

I think he'd struggle to beat rugby money in a code with a salary cap.

Not neccesarily because the Salry Cap goes up next year and rules relating to 3rd Party payments are changing as well

there was a snippet in the paper that quade was pissed because his offer was $30'000 less then a player who hasnt been a full-time Wallaby for going on 3 years..

Possibilities include Phil Waugh, Al Baxter and surprisingly Mark Gerrard.

    Who said I was sensible?

The tablets I was taking were antidepressants which I later found out were also used as sleeping pills

Needless to say I wasn't thinking too straight when I was taking them!

I had been thinking about that. There are a couple of other players that haven't played in the last three years. Adam Freier, Guy Shepperdson, Scott Staniforth... It is probably a Tah though so I'd wager on Freier.

For him to know what another player earns if he hasn't seen them around the Wallabies suggests either a mate from the Reds, or someone who shares the same agent...?

unless they are talking about Greg Holmes, which would be highly highly unlikely, there is no one else that fits into that category at the Reds.

the australian rugby community is pretty small.. JOC, QC, Kurtley, Gits and Mitchell are like little gossip queens, you wouldnt be able to hide anything from those guys. My cousin plays in the NRL, and his manager has inadvertently/intentionally released the figures of the salaries of other players in other codes/clubs to him, not exactly but just ballpark figures.

Would have to be Phil Waugh or Al Baxter wouldn’t it although my money would be on Al. Remember the kerfuffle when Al was in contract negotiations last time and was complaining about backs getting more than forwards and how the ARU should open up the books so everyone could see what each other pays where.

Maybe it just doesn’t get advertised over here to much but I never hear of any of this garbage happening with the NZRU. Is it that the All Black players pride is just to wear the jersey without worrying what the guy next to you is earning? Obviously players like Dan Carter and Richie McCaw will be paid more and that is wholly justifiable but can you see any other AB complaining that they earn more than them?
