Hopefully "Bam-Bam" (David Pocock for anyone wondering!) will be right to go next weekend if he recovers from his Under 19 World Cup hangov...... sorry, victory in time!
Ankles can be tricky to recover to a set time frame but I agree, it will be fantastic to see him finally unleashed.

Contain in defence and "run Forrest, run" in attack
Just have to keep those big bullocks running around the flat all day to wear them down.
"Gotta catch me first fat boy!"
Expect to see many time wasting injuries to certain Cheate.....sorry, Cheetahs Props.

I don't think Elephant ("Olli") and Ox ("Os") will be doing all that much running. They will just rumble along slowly in first gear, with Rhino ("Ryno") steering them along from behind

I have had a bit of a nagging suspicion in the back of the brain all morning so I decided to do some sums:

    Cheetahs Pack Weights:
    1. Os du Randt 125kg
    2. Tiaan Liebenberg 110kg
    3. Jannie du Plessis 119kg
    4. Barend Pieterse 108kg
    5. Corniel van Zyl 108kg
    6. Kabamba Floors 84kg
    7. Ockie van Zyl 113kg
    8. Ryno van der Merwe 96kg
    Total- 863kg

    Force Pack Weights:
    1. Angus Scott 114kg
    2. Tai McIsaac 112kg
    3. David Fitter 119kg
    4. John Welborn 120kg
    5. Nathan Sharpe 115kg
    6. David Pusey 110kg
    7. Matt Hodgson 100kg
    8. Scott Fava 103kg
    Total- 893kg

Who would have thought that the Force would end up with a 30kg advantage over the much publicised HUGE Cheetahs pack?!
They have maintained their advantage in the front row however the Cheetahs players running out this weekend drop off from #4 onwards and Ockie van Zyl is the only back five player to out-weigh his opponent (in David Pusey as SA name their Flankers opposite to ours).
Our back five would be considered to be a pretty mobile group so it will be interesting to see how the forwards battle unfolds tomorrow night.
I certainly have changed my view on the set pieces with this info at hand!

    I really like this guy!

Os DeRandt, Associated Newspapers Ltd 2004:

"You know, off the field I'm a really easygoing guy, ...but on the pitch, although I'm not the kind who'll try to hurt you, within the laws of the game I'll really take it hard to you and won't show any mercy."

"Slogging away on the farm helped his dieting. 'When 50 tons of fertiliser gets delivered, it's always a competition between me and the workers who can lift the most of the 50kg bags off the truck. I had to get my neck muscles activated so I tried carrying as many as I could on my head.'"

Os is the last remaining Springbok among the World Cup-winning class of 1995. I hope he makes it to the Work Cup!

Sounds like he has already made it to the "Work Cup" Goldmember
Yeah, it is great to see there are still some characters from the "old school" left in this Pro world.
That's one of the reasons I really like the story of James McCormack for the Brumbies.
It helps (for me) that they are men from the land but I would be just as pleased to see stories like this from brickies, fishermen etc.
Os is an inspiration to all of us boofheads!
