    TECHNIQUE: Lineout Jumping.

I'm hoping I posted this in the right place, apologies if I haven't.

Anyways. I've been selected at second row for the SA U17's side and am expected to know how to jump. However, this is my first season where I can be lifted at second row after playing flanker last year, having nobody big enough to lift me the previous year and getting no game time back in the UK. So, I was just hoping for a few pointers in technique or excercises I could practice to get my jump right.
    Thanks in advance,
    Zak.

keep your feet together and point your toes to the ground, it will naturally keep your body straight and prevent your legs from waving about

Thanks. That was a massive problem of mine at training, I managed to drop to lifters with accidental ball kicks. Lucky that they like me really, haha.

yeah well if you just focus on keeping your toes pointed to the ground when you jump then there shouldnt be any further kicks to the lifters balls.

once you get that sorted everything sort of just comes with practice, you mainly have to work on your timing, comes naturally with the practice though.

imagine theres a rod that goes up through your core through to your head.
    abs need to be tight
squeeze ur arse together unless you want a lifters thumb up there
    point toes
