Emirates Western Force captain Nathan Sharpe is confident of his team bouncing back at home against the Waratahs on Saturday night as the club sets out to make 'Ladies Day' one to remember.

The Force return home now for a string of home matches starting Saturday night against the Waratahs, before matches with the defending champion Bulls and the Stormers.

Sharpe is confident that the whole team is ready to redeem themselves for last week's loss to the Reds in Brisbane and if hard work is anything to go by, the Force is capable of pulling off the victory against a Waratahs team coming off a 73-12 win over the Lions.

"We want to redeem ourselves from last week's performance. Obviously we were very disappointed with last week's result and the six-day turnaround suits us. If we win, that will be redemption enough," Sharpe said.

"The guys are very keen to get a result. There has been plenty of hard work going on and in any walk of life, if you are putting in hard work you want to see results. We want to see that as a team and all our supporters do as well."

Sharpe is once again hoping that ME Bank Stadium is full as it has been for the first two home games this season against the Brumbies and Chiefs. There's always added feeling in a derby and even more with some ex-Force players in the 'Tahs line-up, but just getting the result is the Force's focus.

"The boys love playing here and the crowd's fantastic, so we want a big turnout to get right behind us," he said.

"When you play another Australian team there's always that bit of extra competition and teams tend to know each other a lot more, so it makes things tougher with more feeling, but still important in the context of the season."

There's no doubt the Waratahs played well last week by scoring 11 tries, but Sharpe is hoping they arrive in Perth full of confidence because that could work in the Force's favour, as could the absence of Wycliff Palu and Al Baxter.

"They played very well last week against the Lions so obviously they come here with confidence and that suits us," he said.

"The Waratahs have built a pretty competitive squad over the last couple of years so the guys that come in will do a good job and give them strengths in other areas."

Sharpe has no doubt the Force can record their first win of the 2010 season and there's no greater pressure coming from the outside than what the team puts on itself.

"We can (win), without a doubt. This competition each week throws up different opportunities and this week we have the Waratahs at home. That's a big opportunity for us," he said.

"The biggest pressure for us is coming from ourselves. The more hard work you put in, the more eager you are for a result so it's a self-fulfilling prophecy in a lot of ways. We'd love to get a result and I know our fans would too."

The match is the second annual 'Ladies Day' with limited edition caps on sale and all proceeds going to the Breast Cancer Foundation of Western Australia.

The caps can be purchased at the game and supporters wearing one during the action could win some great prizes including the jersey straight off a players back following the final whistle.

"It's a great cause and I'd urge our supporters to join with us and support the Breast Cancer Foundation of Western Australia," Sharpe said.
