Western Force coach John Mitchell says he is looking forward to continuing his team's rivalry with the Queensland Reds when the sides clash at Lang Park on Sunday.

The Force has never beaten the Reds in Brisbane and Mitchell is confident his team will win and register its first victory of the season.

Mitchell says there is a lot of feeling between the two sides.

"There seems to be some sort of personal situations there that we took their players," he said.

"But I guess in many ways we didn't take their players, we just gave some of their players an opportunity when they weren't getting an opportunity in Queensland."
Mitchell is confident former All Black David Hill will perform well at fly half in his debut for the Force.

He says Hill is the answer to filling the number 10 position.
"He's had a good impact," he said.

"We look forward to an even further impact on the weekend.

"His experience is invaluable and [we] really hope that comes through."
