Currently Plan A seems to be win some good ball and we'll put our faith in JOC. realistically that failed on 2 fronts the other night. The ball wasn't flash and JOC was sure if he was 10 or 15.

I thought it was more of a case of Batholemuz didn't know if he was a 10 or a 15 and JOC kept trying to cover his arse (in defence, at least. From my seat)

But I agree, now after watching JOC at 10 I reckon he's best off at 12.

In that case, it's a shame that he doesn't appear able to influence the players around him. Sharpie is an excellent line-out organiser, but against the Chiefs the line-out was appalling - mainly due to Pek having a 'mare (possibly due to the wind).

However, Sharpe didn't re-organise the line-outs to keep possesion, and we lost a lot of ball either through stolen ball or penalties for not straight (the first two Chiefs tries were from lost Force throw-ins deep in their territory!)

I can understand wanting to follow Mitchell's game-plan, but when the game-plan isn't working we don't seem to be able to go to a Plan B. Is this a problem with the coaches not having a Plan B, the on-field leadership not changing to Plan B, or the players not being able to play Plan B?

It's kind of ironic really that the one area we should have dominated (the Chiefs played 2 rookie locks) was the area that we screwed up the most.

Agree James told the missus on the first line out we would be touching them up and would probably seek the line all night due to the rookies. Those two boys must have thought all their Christmases had come at once!
