Assumes the Force has the money. The team won't do much without a good 10, but after a certain point they may well not do much better with one. Given the depth and duration of injuries now, the question becomes whether it is worth it...

Well no probably not. But Johnston has not actually said that. Cipriani must decide that is the case, cut ties and come over here.

WASPS are saying they want a decision today. He may or may not make one yet. But a phone call with an offer of a 3 month contract right now might help him make his mind up now.

he'd only be eligible for one wouldn't he? As a marque signing?

Yep the only thing that stopped Castle and Pretorius was the fact that they were last minute signings and had already comitted elsewhere.

Bollocks! Much respect for Spanner, little less respect for the ARU now.

Time to blood a new breed.
This is an opportunity, not a disaster
Many are called but few are chosen

Almost certain marque signings can be no more than 1 year contracts.

Re Cipriani v Johnston, there is apparently bad blood there however, it is more on logistics that Johnston has stated that if Cipriani is playing the SH then he wouldn't be available to train and play.
Behind the scenes though Johnston may well be encouraging him to go/sign to make his media sessions easier!

Reckon? Then how is Daniel Braid running out for the Reds again this season?

Braid was a 1+1 Shasta, he got hurt at the end of last season and couldn't play in ...... ummmm wherever, lost his contract there and returned for the Reds, lucky break for them in some ways.....they needed the help in the pack.
