May i remind all the folks that are joining up and making a huge fuss about the coach and some players ...
this is the Western Force Rugby SUPPORTERS site..
not the Western Force "lets kick a dog while its down" site...
CMON BOYS CHIN UP.. this is the perfect time to stand up and be counted.. show some backbone and lift for next week... I for one was really Proud of the awesome defence the guys showed last night.. the the engine room knew we were in trouble out wide and JOC needed help and they definitely stepped up..
if someone has an opinion that they dont like a player or coach as long as they back it up with reason and dont go overboard with personnel comment, i honestly dont see the problem in having a bitch.
praising for praises sake, well that makes an ass out of everybody, forums are for discussion, to many of them get bogged down with trolls and fishermen trying to get a rise out of people, why not just ignore the posts you dont like and post solely your opinion, that way it leads to discussion and understanding of different points of view and makes everyone smarter in the process!
I'm happy with the pack
Just because it's a western force supporters site, doesn't mean I have to like backs
The backline attracts societies drifters and wasters. It is a secret squirrel society of those who have less motor skills than others, have less courage than others, are less committed in life generally and prefer visual stimulus more than winning a rugby match.
The pack is fine. They were awesome. The committment and tenacity was inspiring. They must have been cursing watching the backs drop the pill, kick out on the full, miss tackles. It was substandard.
The pack was so good, that I felt the match was swinging to us with 20 minutes to go. The defence was brutal, the committment at the breakdown was inspirational. The massive effort from our forwards was painfully extinguished by the most inept backline ever fielded in super rugby.
That's disappointing
There are more things in heaven and earth than are dreamt of in your philosophies Horatio
It is the Western Force Supporters Forum! And in most forums we get trolls and people looking for reactions. This thread is a good example. Here is another one:
Giteau is the best fly half we ever had. John Mitchell is doing a good job. The Tahs are a decent team. Matt Henjak was a good guy. Kurtley Beale and Quade Cooper are our future Wallaby 10 and 12.
Now i wait....
opinion is fine... but 1st time posters coming onto the site to bag out the team, players that were CLEARLY out of their position, need to wake up and get off their high horse..
Pretorius didnt purposly injure himself, Sheps did not ask to get injured 10 mins before the game and Bart quite obviously did not ask for his injury either... but they do happen.. ironic that they all occured before the first ball had been kicked.. but shit really does happen!
Imagine now if we lost Brown, Sharpe, Pocock and Pek before the Season??
Imagine if the Brumbies lost Giteau, AAC, Mortlock and Smith before the game? would the slipper be on the oppsite foot.. DUH!!
seriously guys lay off! lets look forward to next week and hope that in the 3-4 days before the game they manage to find a better option at 10 cause clearly Harris isnt a 5/8th... Maybe Hunt? JOC?... maybe an emergency import?
I think you guys are being a little harsh on Sam Harris. He was signed to play as a 12 not 10. With Bartholomeuz withdrawing from the match JOC would have gone to 10 and Shepherd to 15, then when Shepherd got injured JOC had to stay at full back because there weren't any options.
The 3 soft tries the Force let in were through lazy defence by our front row, Sheehan and Tatupu. While Harris's attacking games wasn't good his defence was. Lets not forget with 10 minutes to go the Force had a kick to go ahead, why don't we talk about how good our defence was and how good we hung in there. Personally with the players we had available we did ok!
Sam gets paid to play elite rugby. Sam has a lot of powerful people in elite rugby bluffed. That is indeed worthy of cult status
brett at 10?
although i am thinking that an emergency import is going to have to be the go...
Harris played like me in my heyday.
at least I had the excuse that i was always on the turps on friday nights
Have to agree with sleazywinebaas. Sam Harris has to be the sloooooowest, most unimaginative player I have ever seen.He does not have natural feel for the game. The recruitment process must be reviewed. I know he is usually a 12 but the lack of basics skill he displayed is shocking will struggle to be a ball boy. He should stick to writing his diary
There is no doubt he played crap, but we obviously didn't have any other viable options available at the time. If we did don't you think Mitch would have called a change? or do you think Mitch just thought "sod it we wont bother"?
The team did the best they could in under the circumstances. Lets hope that things are sorted out by next week,
May the FORCE be with you!
