Rumours are that Elsom is out also

All i hope is one thing, someone cleans up "the flower" (valentine) .... we give him a start after none of the other S14 teams wanted him and next minute he's holding "glory boy giteau's" hand back to ACT, well someone in the 22 make him sit next to Giteau on the pine !!!

To be fair my understanding was the Force offered Valentine another 1 year deal the Brumbies offered him 2 years

Valentine publicly stated he wanted to stay with the Force early on... they were just to slow to sign him... Forces loss, there are reasons why Sheehan was on the bench at the Tahs...

Same reasons why Valentine was 3rd choice scrumhalf behind sheehan and burgess when he was at the tahs. :p

I don't rate Valentine at all, so for me it wasn't a big loss. I still think that Genia should be the #1 choice when it comes to the Wallabies.
He is quick and I think if he shave his head, some international teams would think Gregan's back.

Agreed tdevil, Genia is a league above the rest IMHO, he has a huge career ahead of him.
Valentine performed better than I expected for the Force but is still pretty pedestrian.
I'll take Sheehan's Scrumhalf (9th Forward) over Valentine's Halfback (Back) approach any day because the first can cover the second but not vice versa.

Sheehan is better simply because he was born here.

Valentine was fairly good but he is not as combative as Sheehan. You can tell that Mitch wanted Sheehan over Valentine. There is the added bonus that with so many Warringah players in the Force team there is a bit of familiarity too. We were pretty lucky Valentine was fit for all bar the first game last season. I don't know how well he'll hold up this year.
