Dear Punters,

Introducing the TWF Punter of the Year Award.

Luckily TWF was able to avoid the vRecession and all your vCash is intact.

Recently the vAuditor took a tally of vCash balances and at the end of the betting season (some time just before the TWF Player Award night next year) the vAuditor will determine how much extra vCash is about and the biggest winner will become the

TWF Punter of 2010

A trophy will be struck and presented to that person on the same night as the TWF Supporters Award for best Player of 2010.

Note that the vBookies are punting just as much as you and if you lose your pants then the one with the Diamantes may be the winner.

So. Bet early. Bet often.

I have about a million out this week (betting on the Blues beating the Lions is easy money- you don't cock up as badly as the Blues did last week twice in a row). I think I have about another 6 betting on where the Force will place at the end of the season. Pretty sure I'll get 9 million back off that 6.

I made all my vcash off a hail mary so I figure if I want to keep it I have to hedge my bets to slowly keep it increasing. I'll be pretty buggered if someone jumps the hedge though.

I won't be getting any money off the ladders at the end of the season, so I'll have to go all or nothing Force v Sharks next week and see where that lands me.

If I pick that up (and don't suck too badly this week) I might place second!

This is where things get tough. Betting with your head or betting with your heart. I'd love to see the Force win the last 2 and lets face it they are a better team than the Cheetahs and the Sharks but the probability of beating them both (which would give us our longest winning streak in S14 rugby of 4 wins on the trot) is low. Complacency and fatigue can be a bitch.

For long shot odds bet on the Force and Cheetahs to draw on Saturday. I know it sounds crazy but I have a feeling.
