The start of the Super 14s is less than 7 weeks away, and I cant wait.
First up for the boys to roll are the Brumbies, so here is a thread to get the excitement up.
Some good news for the new front row on foxsprorts:

Should he not require surgery he would be available for the Brumbies second round match against the Bulls in Pretoria.
His injury adds to a mounting toll for the Brumbies, who lost two other props to injury last week.
Jerry Yanuyanutawa was diagnosed with a stress fracture in his left foot and is expected to be sidelined for six to eight weeks while Brumbies Academy prop Jono Owen will miss three weeks after sustaining a grade one strain in his right calf muscle.
John Ulugia has returned to the Brumbies on a short-term contract to provide extra front-row coverage.

Cool. So we are probably going up against Shepherdson at 1 and Ma'afu at 3 with Ulugia on the bench. I think that turns the scrum advantage to our favour.

Shepherdson is a tighthead though isnt he, can he play both sides? I was thinking that it might even be Ulugia that starts at loosehead with both Jerry and Alexander out.
Definitely in the Forces favour anyway.

According to the TWF countdown clock, it's 32 days until the start of the season (which is much closer than the 7 weeks).
I think that Ulugia has also played as backup hooker for the Brumbies for a few games in 2008.

Yep Ulugia is a good utility frontrow player... Alexander out but the pack is still stronger... Really the Force are the ones in trouble as they still haven't a hooker... Brumbies still have many with Wallabies caps in the forwards, Shep, Moore, Ma'afu, Chiz, Googie, Rocky, Smith and Hoilesy... with plenty of talent supporting with Ben Hand, Vanderglas, Timani, Edmonds, Chapman and Edmonds... But this is all a distraction as its the Brumbies backs which will spank the Force at the
MES in feb...
