I used to agree with you WRF but then I found out that all of the funding for all athletes in the UK (Andy Murray included) comes from the British government. And since the majority of tax payers are English it stands to reason that they should feel like they are getting something for their money. Otherwise you guys should stop competing like a bunch of pussies and break out into your individual countries

Do you want us to dig along the border line and become an island as well?

No all the money comes from coal mines and leak soup raffles.

Yeah I know, let me bask in the glory of a not to common win.

Besides even Newport have beaten Australia.

Good God man, is Nicole Cooke, Richard Meade and Lynn Davis not enough for you? Mind you, I found this site: (http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/olympics/7531101.stm) which reckons the finest Welsh Olympian ever goes by the name Paulo Radmilovic.

    Do they play rugby?

No, not important in WRF's life then.

By athletes I refer more to the Olympics. That said were the WRU to be under great financial pressure it wouldn't surprise me if the British Government lent them a hand. There is no English Government.

So does anyone think this is a testing time for Mortlock's captaincy?

    No Welsh snapper here.

Caught a Perth Cod. Makes lousy eating.

In answer to your question WRF I would say Mortlock should get the flick as captain. Captain should be a forward. I don't really see Mortlock as a reliable option for 2011 (its 2 years away and he's hardly the unbreakable figure Smith is). Smith, Waugh or Sharpie would be my money for captain.

Sharpie isn't a Wallabies Captain... he's just lucky to be there...

I agree James, Sharpie or George.....they're the most experienced and influential of the players who will still be Wallabies for the World Cup. I'm not so sure about Waugh though, he's fighting for a bench spot now.....your captain has to make the team before getting the top job!
