I remember a few years ago I went with my kids to a concert in a park where Daren Reid and the Soul City Groove were the main act. Daren was walking through the crowd and asked a young kids what he'd like to do when he grew up. The kids replied "I wanna be a musician like you", to which Dazzling Daren replied something along the lines that he was a singer; not a musician, but thanks for the compliment. Interestingly, Daren does play drums a bit.....
