    Japan dominates Asian 5 Nations

Japan completed their victorious HSBC Asian 5 Nations campaign by thumping Singapore 45-15 for their fourth consecutive win.

The Japanese retained their title with an 80-9 victory over South Korea in Osaka last week and emphasised their superiority with a seven-try performance against the hosts at Yio Chu Kang Stadium.

Hitoshi Ono and Koji Taira each scored a pair of tries, Takashi Kikutani, Yuta Imamura and Masakazu Toyota scored one apiece and Hiroki Yoshida made five of his seven conversion attempts for the Japanese, who led 26-3 at half-time.

All of Singapore's points were scored by Ryan Cumers, who kicked five penalties.

With the bonus point for scoring four or more tries, Japan finished their campaign with a maximum 18 points while Singapore finished last on only one point and were relegated to Division I.

In Singapore, they didnt call it a thumping.
Apparently, they were proud of how singapore had done scoring 15 points.
    Quite funny actually.

Yeah I read an article - I thought this one was more accurate In Singapore's defence, despite the fact that they are getting relegated after finishing last, they actually kept Japan to their smallest scoreline in the whole tournament. That also shows the state of Asian rugby and why Japan needs to start getting some decent competition happening. Otherwise they'll keep getting thumped at the World Cup.

With their amount of players and their amount of corporate dollars, someone better... I'm getting sick of the whole 'plucky little Asians' thing every four years

Pity they couldn't tour here and play the Super sides. I'd love to see them take on the Force at MES.
