    Mitchell's Press Conferences

Does anyone know where we can get a transcript of the press conferences from after the game? I know that the Eagles put up John Worsfolds press conference on their web site after each game. I find it hard to get John Mitchells take on the game.....

Would that be "The Sheep" aka Mat Fuller? I know sheeps' (sheep's?) teeth continually grow throughout their liftime but even without this particular evolutionary trait his would be far too long

    It's just a gift I was born with coach....what can I say.

Ya wouldn't want to kiss him anyway so I guess that's not the reason then.

The big man himself has just informed me that "The Sheep" was given to him because of his tanasity around the field "just like a sheep dog" plus when his hair grows it does resemble a sheeps fleece.

Sorry to dissapoint EnFORCEr, I know you Scots are fond of your sheep!

Well if I had that nick name I'd have to come up with a benign reason for such a shocker too.

But I suppose if Peter Matera is "Roo" for roo dog then "Sheep" for sheep dog works too .............just.

Actually fairly far from it TEF!
Here's what I can track down on RugbyWA and ARU.
A suprising reaction at first read but at the same time, as the coach, you know he's actually dead right too.
It sounds as if they had a red hot go but I would think that pre season he would have had this one pencilled in as a must or at least should win game.
I think he would be less "disappointed" if they were losing because of better opposition alone rather than by their own schoolboy errors. Knock ons and stupid kicks etc.
    Here's the quoted text:

Rather than being buoyed by the Force's spirited second half showing, head coach John Mitchell was downcast after the game.

"I was very disappointed in our performance," Mitchell said.

"We were chasing the game. The guys were full of spirit and commitment, but it took us 60 minutes to finally find patience with the ball."

"If we're going to be deserving of a win, we've got to get better."

"I thought the group mix was good tonight. Jimmy Hilgendorf having his first outing at ten, he directed the backline well. And the balance that Cameron Shepherd brought at fullback gave us a better opportunity of getting out of our first 40 metres."

"This group will have a crack, it's just the little things letting us down."

"They're starting to believe they can cope with this level. They're gathering belief each week and once that comes together on a night and we get a result, that will bring even more belief to this group."

    "Bloody oath we did!"
