Members bar is thoroughly recommended for the last game of the season!! Lets just say some of the boys were celebrating in style.

Maybe the East Perth Footy Club (I think it's still at MES? The building is anyway) can be used for the pre/post match stuff next year. Suppose it would be back to "first-in-best-dressed" though - it's not as big as the Subi Footy Club - from foggy memory.

Would have been nice for the boys to do a lap of honour, even after the speeches, for the group of fans who were waiting for it. Only Sharpe and Cross bothered to come over to the far side of the field. Really disappointed as it would have been great to say farewell to the ones who are leaving.

Shame on the people in the members bar who booed, that was uncalled for, he's not the only one taking the opportunity to play elsewhere. Members bar is thoroughly recommended for the last game of the season!! Lets just say some of the boys were celebrating in style. Tai McIsaac was huis humble self, just drinking a coke and very grateful to all members for their support. Spanner was the same, very grateful and stoked to finish on a high with 2 tries. Hodgo was a cracker, loved his take on Hocko's shirt theme for the night.

To Drew's credit he took the booing quite well claiming "i thought they were saying Drew" not boo... But i'm not surprised he picked up his bag and walked out after he gave his speech. Disappointing.

Thought it was pretty poor form on the crowd's behalf. Yes he's leaving but ffs so are 9 other players and not one person booed any of them. Oh well he took on the chin and legged it to the celebrations like the others.

Shasta: it was pretty crowded in there, supposedly "over the limit" and they couldn't let more people in "because the floor is old and might collapse"...need anymore reason than that to move away from Subi? I think not!! It was kind of funny though, the 'bouncers' were more like turnstiles.

Agree, Eley, although Tai and Spanner spent alot of time signing etc where we were, Also Drew but he seemed to be in a bad mood. I didn't realise people were booing him.

To be honest I don't I dont think any of it bothers him now, he's leaving, why should he care what a bunch of small-minded indiviuals had to say. Just shows that some people aren't big enough or mature enough to deal with the professionalism of sport and the fact that players move on.

It wont affect his perception of all the support he has received in the past and he is not bitter or petty enough to not be recommending the Force to any future players.

Gits was booed quite strongly in 2007 for the game in Canberra v Brumbies from what I can remember of the game.

I was there that game and there booing of Gits was VERY loud.

That's actually really horrible. He is leaving but that's his call and it's professional sport. I'd like to think if I, Drew's biggest fan, can accept he's leaving without booing him that everyone else could find it within themselves to not be cruel.

I hope Drew and Gits know that most people certainly don't think that way, and that we're looking forward to seeing them next year at MES getting flogged
