interesting! i wonder who it is
Be There. Be Heard. Be The Force Behind The Force
if it aint a tahs problem that leaves Sharpie or George Smith
Sharpe is signed until 2011 isn't he? George Smith is off contract isn't he?

You have to ask yourself- how many ageing but high-ranking Wallabies are there? None in the Reds with all of them being youngins. At the Force the only senior/ageing Wallaby is Sharpie and unless there is a clause we don't know about he is locked in until 2011. Besides which about the only player in a realistic position to take over is David Pocock and he's still far too young. So that pretty much only leaves the Brumbies. George Smith doesn't seem to be that bothered by the captaincy at the Brumbies but he is senior, ageing and off contract before 2011. The only other senior, ageing Wallaby I can think of is Stirling Mortlock. Maybe he's actually a little bit peeved that he still isn't the Brumbies captain. And then again who have they offered to the captaincy to?
Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.
George Smith doesn't want the captaincy, he is just care taker Captain.... That leaves Sharpie and it makes sense for a fresh start... It worked with the Reds last year...
Why is this moron's work pasted on the website?
If we wanted to have someone on the site who know nothing about Rugby, I would talk to myself!
Crowden in his Friday rant in the SMH has hinted that an ageing senior wallaby provincial captain has his nose out of joint after being told he is being replaced by a younger captain next year and has since started flogging his services overseas. The footnote was that it is not a Waratahs problem. Looking through the captaincy ranks, Sharpie is the only possible candidate.
So has Mitch decided to hand Pocock the arm band?
If it is true would Sharpie break contract and run?
I'm sorry Homer, don't take this personally, it's just a case of the straw that broke the camels back and unlucky timing on your part.....
THERE IS NO F*CKING ARMBAND!!!!

"Bloody oath we did!"
Nathan Sharpe, Legend.
Im pretty sure that its Phil Waugh or Stirling Mortlock that this articles referring too. They are both out of contract soon and have been looking overseas. The line saying its not a Tahs problem is a misdirection.
Sharpies locked in until 2011 and has been guaranteed the captaincy.

Something needs to change. There has been no improvement in the last three years and maybe a broom through the team to shake it up would be good. Pocock would be a great lead from the front kind of guy and very good at establishing good conduct guidelines.
Another question. There has been a bit of news here in the east about how the Force are very active in chasing a tight head prop, but what about hooker?
When Tai leaves there will be huge problems. Tatafu will not leave the Tahs for the Force, if he leaves it will be overseas. Holmes isn't a frontline hooker and there are very few around.
How about Gits being offered the Brumbies captaincy as a sweetner? Mortlock is pissed as he was told Hoiles was going to be captain because it was better to have a forward in the role, but now its going to another back who abandoned them in the first place for $$$.
Mortlock is only a slight chance for the next World Cup anyway.
My work here is done, now where do I pick up my SMH pay cheque?
could it be that grumbles is the new nostrodamus (ie stoned, drunk and doesnt always get everything right)?
