I thought I read somewhere that Spanner was going to play in Perth club rugby after the super14 season and not head east to play Shute shield in Sydney. The run the other week for eastwood was only because the local comp hadn't started yet.

Hardly surprising - I wouldn't have thought the older players would have relished uprooting the family just to play semi-pro rugby.
The west has again this morning that he'll be going to Japan. I can't understand this - there is a heap of players I'd let go before Staniforth!!
Would say he's not in the running for Wallaby dollars and he at best has only a few more years in the legs, unfortunately.
It is actually quite an amzing feat to have made it back to the top in his position at his age.
Extremely sad to see him go but really, as with Tai, he owes us nothing and has been both a fantastic servant and ambassador to Union in WA.

A little surprised if he has made an actual decision, with question marks hanging over the future of pretty much every other Force 12. But as noted, he has probably been cut by the Wallabies.

Just wondering... Do you think I'd be allowed to wave that around? I've just started it and I don't want to make one I can't wave. Tools is allowed to be waved round Subi isn't it? I was thinking 'These force tools need a SPANNER' and do the Spanner really big and I could put 'Don't go' underneath maybe...
