Heart still wants to say Crusaders can turn it around but I think it may finally be the year of the severe weather event.

Canes will fall over their own feet as usual, I'm thinking the Blues or the Chiefs are an option......Chiefs always start slow, if last week is the start of their traditional last minute run to the finals, they've started early and will likely make the final.....they could be foxing tho!

Crusaders look to have imploded a bit and having McCaw out for a while won't help the cause. It's time someone else was the S14 heavyweight.

The Highlanders are a definite no-no. Sure they've played with a lot of heart and passion in their games so far but that hasn't been and won't be enough- especially when they get to South Africa.

The Chiefs are building momentum but also haven't hit South Africa yet- where they are traditionally abhorrent- and I can't seem them bringing this out around.

So that leaves a toss up between the Blues and the Hurricanes. One of them will definitely get the mid-season syndrome and I have a feeling its going to be the Blues. But since I am usually wrong, the Blues it is.

All good reasons why I went for the Blues James......apart from the fact that the Hurricanes are a crapshoot at the best of times, I'd never pick them to be consistent enough to finish on top of the NZ pile.

This S14 definitely opens up a fair few questions. Like whether or not the Stormers can put out another strong season or if they are going to fade back into mediocrity? Or how long will the Waratahs and the Bulls be able to keep it together? Surely one of them has to start self-destruction soon. On the no surprises there front is the teams that are going to be at the dead bottom of the table. Highlanders, Cheetahs, Lions. If it does end up being those three again, something really must be done by the NZRU and SARU.

What, you mean aside from moan about JO'N and insist on another team respectively?

With seven replacements this week the Reds may be on the edge of a slippery slope too unfortunately.
Hopefully they can pull out this time around.

The Chiefs were very impressive against the Force. The backrow is much better than I realised and there are jet shoes out wide. The Chiefs have played the really good teams already and will start to climb the ladder

The head says the Canes however

The Chiefs are as notoriously inconsistent as the Force are. I wouldn't start putting bets on them any time soon.

Could we have a "who cares" or "none of the above" choice?
