Western Force star Matt Giteau tells why he's staying by Matt Giteau.

EXCLUSIVE: Western Force and Wallabies star Matt Giteau tells why he is staying at the Perth Super-14 club.

WHY am I staying? It's easy.

I have a year to go at the Western Force and I want to honour that.

There's been a lot of talk about my future at the Force while I have been away with the Wallabies and on holiday, none of it from me.

I can say now that I'm committed to the Force for next year and I won't be making a decision on my future until next season is over.

the rest here from the Sunday Times.....

All we gotta do now is have Mudsplatter tell us that isnt exactly Gits writing it - but a ghost writer named P. O'Meara.

    Or

Mudsplatter will tell us that this is what he has been telling us all along.

“Let me put it this way, A Springbok team contains Afrikaners, Englishmen, coloureds and blacks. It has parochial foes in Bulls, Sharks, Stormers, Cheetahs and Lions. It is a recipe for war! Yet in all the years of John Smit’s captaincy, there has never been one unhappy customer, not one voice of rebellion against his leadership. He is the glue that holds the Springboks together. The man is a legend!”- Jake White

Giteau is correct by claiming he hasnt said anything. But his manager has been saying plenty.Did his manager make overtures to the ARU re Giteau's Force contract or not?
If he did,& Giteau did not sanction it,it maybe time for a new manager(again)
    but if he did..........

Poor bugger... he has the most money a Sportsman in Australia can , yet seems ungratful and unhappy.

He has the best team in the competition to play for and overell he has been great for the provence.

The Firepower thing fell through , he needs to get over it , the money will never come back and I think he is dreamin if he thinks he will get a 3rd party anywhere with any team.

He doesn't like most sportpeople except for the V8'S work hard enough

I hope he stays at WA and Rugby WA use him more at sign on days at the like ...that's were we need him!

The whole thing is pretty cleverly worded, especially the part about why he didn't go down the legal avenue. Good luck to him wherever he is next season.

The things that were said pretty straight out were that he doesn't have a problem with any of the coaches, that he is positive about the season and he is still open to other offers to stay in Perth. So maybe the assumption that some drew about "it's either Giteau or Mitchell" were wide of the mark.

    Bring on the Rugby!!
