Should he stay or should he go?

in today's paper it says about how when he signed this contract he knew it would be his last and his contract runs out at the end of next year.
he said he could go a few more years but wont there are some if's though, if him leaving puts the club in a bad place he might stay and if they need him to stay he might stay

he is 32 isn't he? hes getting on a bit for a rugby player, but we only have 2 hookers at the moment, him included. so i think we should keep him. i really rate taipan and i don't think he is past his best yet. if our new hooker is a rookie i would rather have him show them the ropes than holmes, who is relatively newish to s14 himself. he made his debut in 2007 didnt he?

keep him on maybe a 1 or 2 year contract i reckon. but we shouldn't let him go

well like he said there are 2 up and coming hookers
and if the club feels they still havnt matured enough he would stay
he has been a brillant mentor and what ever the case he has served the western force every game in the clubs history

he has been in every single Force game since it began. pretty big achievement, no other force player has.

the article said he was hoping to be involved in coaching and he has been trying to help holmes and the academy's hooker, but he feels he is sharing what he knows not forcing his ways on them.

i'll post the article link when its online

we should of let him go at the end of last season and signed stevie moore from queensland reds.....even if he had a year left on his current contract.

i agree with pruc. steve moore has been off almost every game for the wallabies. i admit though that i didnt watch any of his super14 games. tai is great, if he wants to go, then its his choice, but i dont see why the Force would want him to leave, i think they want to keep him as a player or a mentor
the article also said he didnt want to be the guy that everyone says is that old guy still running around. i think he wants to go out on a high and good on him for that!

Tai has been a trye warrior for us

Tai, has been a true warrior for the force, and while I have not seen the article you refer to, the fact that he wants help his understudies, show his qualities.

Remember against all the odds he secured a place in the Wallabies in our first season, and has been inspirational in setting the team on the road it currently is.

And what about those little darts he makes with the waterpolo passes.

Here's to you Tai, cheers mate and thanks for the memories, just keep them up in the years ahead.

Old Hookers never retire, Like a fine wine they get better with age, If Tai is willing, and more importantly if the body is willing, I humbly believe we should hang on too him as long as we can.

solid week in week out, our line outs were woeful at times last season...moore has better ball carrying abilities, as for overated he will be wallabies starting or #2 hooker for years to come! and on top of that youve picked him in your starting 15 to play NZ in bledisloe 4....

No we can't. Didn't his manager say that he had a year to run on his contract and that he wasn't going anywhere?
