    Rabbitohs home in on Perth

    Rabbitohs home in on Perth
    By Steve Mascord
September 17, 2008 SOUTH Sydney have confirmed they will play one home game in Perth next year - but they may have competition in their bid to reclaim the west for rugby league.

St George Illawarra - at the urging of quarter-owner WIN TV, which has extensive interests in WA -- have invited the Sydney Roosters to play them in a pre-season match at Members Equity Stadium.

The Rabbitohs announced Monday that their home game against Newcastle in 2009 would be played at Central Coast Stadium and the Melbourne match would be in Perth.

Sounds like the Dragons are on board already- maybe Crossy needs to ring some mates at the Roosters and tell them to come over!

These plans are already under threat. Highly placed sauces claim that MES will be unavailable next season due to a major upgrade to 30,000 capacity.

Maybe we should get a member of TWF to demand that all TWF members email the Dragons and the Roosters to come over here and play - the fate of the free world depends on it.

They haven't got any. South Perth are the big red V around here (so they should be Swee's team). But they do have a red lion on their badge that could easily be mistaken for a dragon at first glance.
