WAEC - Political Party Registration

Inspied from NTT's post - A Rugby party? the WNC Party? We have a few years, I think it's worth a go. only need 500 registered (read: completed paperwork) members to make it official.

If I recall, registered political parties get advertising money (or some such thing) from the Government to push their cause....

Seriously though I think its a good idea, we have enough people with enough diversity of occupations, skills, background and locations all over WA/the world (James, Larry & Thunderchicken thats you! sorry if I missed anyone) My point is we have the diversity and could probably pull it off.

I could be wrong but I believe that donations to Registered Political Parties are tax deductable too.

To be honest i think it could work against us. Often 'parties' which only promote one cause tend to do that cause more damage by being viewed as a political joke...memory casts back to the "Happy Birthday Party" whose one and only policy was that everyone should have a second birthday....seemingly great but also taken as light hearted fun....

I think we'd have to be very very careful about how we go about it. I think we're better off acting as a pressure group on the real politicians...

Not unless somebody goes the Nudie run or starts sniffing seats. General drunkenness is fine unless it is accompanied by some sort of sexual deviancy.

I'm sure we could find volunteers for the nudie run, but in this case I'd recommend not going there.....maybe we could use it to fund the 181 club bid as a political stunt!

"Give us corners or subi gets it" we can use the funds to buy our own demolition equipment and just have a big demolition ball about to hit Subi..that picture can be our campaign ad and after filming has finished we can just 'accidently' let the demo ball carry through and hit Subi. : Then we can have a 'party' on the rubble and use left overs to source alcohol for said party
