I'm getting pretty sick of reading how bad we are. Is it my imagination that it seems like all the Aussie sports writers seem to want us to fail?

Maybe I'm a total optomist - tho most who know me would say that only applies to my sports teams and some of the slow horses I bet on

BUT - I really think when all is considered they haven't done too bad so far. Just consider who they've played. AND I really give the boys a chance at Suncorp tonight. They've made lots of mistakes so far (but we should've expected that) especially against the Chiefs but nobody can question their comitment and the Chiefs showed just how well they can play yesterday.

Compare the endeavour our boys have shown to what we've seen from the Cats.

Force fans have to be patient and sturdy these first few years. You have a 5 year tenure for this S14. I can see substantial wins happening in the fourth year of operation , which will guarantee the success of the franchise and ongoing participatipn. Thats the year when things will click in all aspects , including the media support. In the meantime, WA will do what it does best and dig in and support its own team against all t'othersiders , including the knockers from the other football codes, and those from within union itself-the doubters.
The Force will endure and be successful in the international competition of S14, just as the Eagles and Dockers have in the national AFL.
At the moment, the Force are still merging as a team. In Oct 05 - they were all strangers !
A handful from each of the other Oz S14 teams knew each other , but not the mob from the Gold Coast Breakers , or the many varied colts and youngsters assembled. It will take time, how much we don't know. One things for sure , WA's union followers won't be jumping ship!
