    South West Junior Rugby

Sunday sees the mighty Busso Jets take on the junior BaaBaas in Australind. Wallas and under 12's.

4 more kids rocked up to training so we are building.

Good on ya for the support of country rugby especially with the juniors. I lived in Narrogin for a while and got very funny looks when I asked about rugby, now they have a team which is great.

Keep up the good work of spreading the game.

    YOU OLD BASTARD,
i wasnt suggesting that there was a team there when you lived in the area, mearly pointing out there lack of junior development.

they have neglected this for too long but cant see it themselves, i suppose that is why for years they are top of the table and then struggle this year with 5 players at a home game

A great couple of games in Bunbury today. The juniors are growing.

Can someone fill me in on the junior set up in the south west? How many teams and what age groups?

WEll it is very small at the minute. Busselton started last year, we had a walla team, an under 12's and an under 15's, I expect to have an under 10's this year too. Training will begin March.

Bunbury have a junior club that is about the same, Margs and Dunsborough are looking to start this year. I'll keep you posted.

    Thanks bloke
My kid is only 2 but I would like to get involved in the juniors from a coaching perspective or at least help out. I'm hoping for a few boys over the years to play so I'd like to help get the structure in place so they have the option of playing in the future

Does rugby WA have any highlights DVD's to inspire kids and sell the dream? Do they have training manuals. Can they give financial assistance to start up teams etc?

How about some running rugby from the attack coach?
