DESPITE an exasperating 44-point turnaround, the Wallabies have vowed that their inability to win outside Australia will end when they head to South Africa this month.

Easier said than done, as the Wallabies have now tallied 15 consecutive Tri Nations losses away from home. But five-eighth Matt Giteau is convinced that despite the magnitude of their 39-10 loss to the All Blacks in Auckland on Saturday, there were glimpses during the game that the team was at last on the right course.

Giteau, like coach Robbie Deans, was encouraged that the players continued to trust themselves, as shown by the excellent Adam Ashley-Cooper try just before half-time. According to Deans, taking risks is better than "just curling up".
