I quite liked Stannard, he was a good player and the guy has some real guts. Anyone remember him pushing around Ali Williams in the Crusaders game this year? Classic.

But if its true that he's got a contract in Japan its a bit rough being too hard on the Force management. I mean its not like they are leaving him jobless after making huge promises and offering him the world. He'll probably end up being paid more money and get a full contract rather than being Level 1 trial academy member. Shafted is a bit harsh IMHO I'd go with underappreciated.

in 6 months time you all will have forgotten about stannard and be praising how good Valantine is and how "thought it was a good move the whole time".

Can't really comment on what's been going on behind the scenes (because I don't know) but above all else it must be said that Chucky has balls. He packed up from QLD and moved to Perth on the off chance of being picked up by the Force.

When he was thrown into the deep end, he gave it his all - what more can one ask for?

    All the best to him.

I already ate my words about Henjak, I guess it won't hurt too much to eat my words about Valentine...ATM I'm saying he's almost good enough for the Super 14......almost! I hope the haven't paid him a massive salary.

Then his clone played. There was a Force player who looked exactly like Stannard playing.

Cummins, Pusey and Hockings were watching and before the game Chucky was with Cummins but I could have sworn it was him on the field and I heard them calling him, for the ball.

“Let me put it this way, A Springbok team contains Afrikaners, Englishmen, coloureds and blacks. It has parochial foes in Bulls, Sharks, Stormers, Cheetahs and Lions. It is a recipe for war! Yet in all the years of John Smit’s captaincy, there has never been one unhappy customer, not one voice of rebellion against his leadership. He is the glue that holds the Springboks together. The man is a legend!”- Jake White

I know James is still in town FS. It was your comments and accusations that had me less than relaxed and I'm pretty sure you know that.

It would be great to see James get some opportunities overseas but you still have to feel for him. His life is here now, his friends are here, his girlfriend is here and moving will be a massive step away from everything he is used to and comfortable with. It's a huge deal that he now has to look elsewhere to further his rugby career.

Chuckie and Lachie McKay have been so unlucky.

I know it's all a big business in the end but you can't help but feel so sorry it has to come to this.

    Both guys deserved more.
