Mortlock not worried about Sydney surface

Wallabies captain Stirling Mortlock says the playing surface at Sydney's Olympic stadium has no concerns ahead of tomorrow's match against France.

The playing field at Olympic Stadium has been strongly criticised over the year due to the volume of games played on the ground.

But Mortlock says the surface looks to be in good condition.

"We just had our first look at the pitch today, [and the] surface seems fine," he said.

"[It appears to] be a fast deck. Hopefully that'll lead to some open free-flowing rugby. So no concerns at all."
