Yeah I just wanted to check it was that one off game. It's called the world club challenge and it sounds like a competition that all clubs play in, maybe it should just be called "The two winning teams from two competitions challenge". World club challenge sounds a bit much.

Well he mentioned the mungo idea but at the same time mentioned it would be better to expand it into a 6 v 6 tournament so he was speaking about a bit of both...

Yes I understand that. By a world club challenge I meant that that the top club teams from each rugby country that say competes at the world cup could face each other to see who is the best.

If Super 14 expands into August within the next few years (and the Tri-Nations gets pushed back because of it) there really won't be any room for it.

It also means that Force tours like this UK one might be off the menu...

Yeah I know it's only a dream chance of ever seeing it but it is nice to dream about it. Love to see the Force go up against some of the top European clubs. So many clubs up that way.

It does mean that tours like this UK one won't be necessary.

I reckon it'd be worthwhile even if run during the International June/July window. It'd serve as a de-facto ARC.....Then again it would be an ideal chance for the top european clubs to keep their stars at home while we use our Wallabies to beat second string teams. We'd see crap rugby on both sides of the globe!

Its a shame the ARC folded in the first place, at least we got to see some more rugby after the super 14 season. Still wouldn't mind seeing local clubs play on Saturday nights under the lights at Members equity. Especially if the Force players who weren't up for international duty played like they are at the moment.
