Rugby hero David Lyons heartbroken as thieves steal jerseys

WALLABIES star David Lyons has had precious rugby memorabilia - including his prized John Eales medal - stolen after a thief ransacked his father's car.

The haul, which included unique Wallabies and NSW Waratahs jerseys, was taken while the car was parked outside a Blue Mountains home on Monday.

Some of the property was found abandoned close to the Faulconbridge home, however a number of precious Wallabies and Waratahs jerseys, worn on the field by Lyons during his career, remain missing.
