    Wales go for experience against Boks

    Warren Gatland has opted for experienced flyhalf Stephen Jones over James Hook to spearhead Wales assault on world champions South Africa in their opening Test in Bloemfontein on Saturday.

    Jones made his Test debut in Wales record 96-13 defeat to the Boks in 1998 and is embarking on his third tour of South Africa.

    Hook was in possession of the No 10 jersey when Wales completed the Grand Slam against France in March but the Ospreys star has been demoted to the bench this time.

    Surprises expected as Boks gather

    Springbok coach Peter de Villiers is poised to make some big calls as his squad gets down to the serious business on Monday of preparing for the season’s opening test match against Wales at Vodacom Park in Bloemfontein on Saturday.

    Boks should get up i would imagine. Wales won the 6 nations but travelling seems to be their undoing. I do look forward to seeing if they can keep the momentum of winning the 6 nations going

    yeah but travelling does not suit Wales, and as I said before, was the Grand Slam a flash in the pan, or the start of something good from the Welsh??
