New Zealand wins Edinburgh Sevens, ends world series on a high

New Zealand held out England 24-14 in the final of the Edinburgh Sevens rugby at Murrayfield on Sunday and completed one of its most dominating world series seasons.

New Zealand entered Edinburgh have already won the series a week before in London by reaching the quarterfinals, its worst result in the eight tournaments this season. Even with two new caps at Murrayfield, the New Zealanders outclassed allcomers.

They dispatched Scotland 36-14 in the quarterfinals then blanked London champion Samoa 14-0 in the semifinals.
