New stars sent off to earn spurs

AUSTRALIA's rising young stars will experience the cauldron atmosphere of world championship rugby in the under-20 tournament in Wales this month as part of their development as future Wallabies.

There has been speculation promising players such as David Pocock, Rob Horne and Quade Cooper would be named in the 30-man Wallabies squad today.

But new Wallabies coach Robbie Deans is anxious for the emerging players to gain important international experience in the under-age tournament.

Waratahs five-eighth Kurtley Beale would have been included in the Australian under-20 squad, but tore a ligament in his ankle in the Super 14 final against the Crusaders on Saturday and will be sidelined for four to six weeks...

THL Well that did not happen comes to something when Baxter is picked but then a run on at the start of the 14s final would have helped. But not his playing as he was still getting thumped in the scrum. For god sake some one show him the simple rules of engagement and body tech, its not rocket science after all.
