Im sick to death with this daylight saving gig. jono for a change is on song with this topic. It is designed for people who work in airconditoined offices, catch public transport to work and have 2.2 kiddies. It sucks arse and always will. Our future lies in Asia not over East. So a time zone close to Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia etc makes economic sense. We are the Australian economy!

Spot on TLH. I get up at 4:00am for day shift. Most people in the resources industry do similar. Builders and landscapers () probably not much later. If all the office jockeys want more sunshine when they knock off let them GET UP EARLIER! Then they won't be clogging up the roads when I'm trying to get home.

if it gets passed i'll have to live with it. i'm not overly fussed either way.
because there is good and bad aspects about it.

well im an office worker i have kids and i hate DLS.
for one.. you try explain to your child that its bed time and the sun is streaming through the curtains at 8pm
Im also at work at least an hour before the sun comes up. I catch the bus in the dark, get on the train in the dark - ride for an hour, get off in the dark, walk the 500m to work in the dark. get the idea?

I get less sleep now as i cant sleep when its light so that means im going to bed later & waking up earlier (read above). DLS is only good for yuppies that like quaffing coffees at 8pm or walking the dog on the beach. it has no benefit to 80% of Perth IMHO

When I was a kid I went to bed when I was told.......there's no respect for adults these days!!!!

In Scotland, it's still light at 10pm in the middle of summer (when it's not raining, that is). I love daylight savings.....it's pure dead brilliant!!!!
