THE Western Force have gone down 27-17 to the Auckland Blues in a thrilling Super 14 match in Albany, New Zealand.

The Force were intent on pulling off their first victory on Kiwi soil - battling it out with notorious intimidators the Blues for today's Super 14 match honours.
