    AUSTRALIAN TEAM OF THE WEEK
Each week, Greg Growden and Rupert Guinness pick Australia's form players of the round.

    15 Mark Gerrard (ACT) (2)
    14 Nick Cummins (Force) (1)
    13 Ryan Cross (Force) (2)
    12 Tyrone Smith (ACT) (2)
    11 Peter Playford (ACT) (1)
    10 Matt Giteau (Force) (2)
    9 Patrick Phibbs (ACT) (1)
    8 Stephen Hoiles (ACT) (2)
    7 George Smith (ACT) (2)
    6 Mitchell Chapman (ACT) (1)
    5 Mark Chisholm (ACT) (1)
    4 Nathan Sharpe(Force) (2)
    3 Salesi Ma'afu (ACT) (1)
    2 Saia Faingaa (ACT) (1)
    1 Sekope Kepu (NSW) (1)
(Number of times selected in brackets).

Player of the round: STEPHEN HOILES. Selected just in front of Cross, Gerrard and George Smith, the ACT No 8 was the master link man between the Brumbies forwards and their adventurous backline.

Try of the round: TAMAITI HORUA. Great run and pass by Matt Giteau put the Force backrower away.

I thought the Brumbies looked quite good.

Ryan Cross definately deserves his spot in that side this week. He had a great game against the Lions

you couldn't argue those Baby Brumbies didn't deserve their places. They were outstanding.

I'm not saying some of the players don't deserve their places, I'm just surprised that no-one from the reds got picked and only 1 from the 'tahs.

I can't believe there wasn't 1 stand out player for the reds.

I can, they were pretty woeful in general!

I'm a little surprised to see the back row not crack a mention, they fought hard against a powerful onslaught, with Horua scoring try of the round....surely that's worth something?

Interestingly over past two weeks (I can only 2 - 25th Feb and 3rd March).

Nick Cummins and Peter Playford are the chosen wingers for this and the other was Mark Gerrard (who figured at fullback on the other) and Ryan Cross (who figured at centre in the other).

    No Turkey or Turner?

the brumbeis did play well, but there taking the piss to have that many in the team of the week, if the force beat any australian team under the same circumstance i doubt very much if we'd have that many players in the side......

Look on the bright side. I'm 99.9% sure we'll find out one way or t'other when they do flog one of them this year.

I'd have to say that the win we gutted out in the republic wasn't anywhere near as pretty as what the Gumbies did to the Deads! You can see why the pretty rugby team got more in the side!

I am not surprised to see so few names here either or even over the past few week.

For heavens sake....its 3.30 in the morning in the eastern states when the Force play...you cant expect the journalists to be up at that time of the night!

Maybe Growden having a midnight snack of about a dozen pies..............then again he'd be watching the oven timer and not the TV

There was- James Horwill. However the simple fact is with Mark Chisholm scoring two tries and Sharpie playing very well he missed the cut. Frankly pretty much everyone else from the Reds played badly. If you can't believe it makes some nominations. I didn't watch all of the Waratahs game but I could see that Tuqiri's spill of the pill that cost the Tahs a try easily worked against him. Rocky Elsom would probably feel a bit pissed that he didn't make it over Mitchell Chapman. But then Scott Fava played pretty well too.
