New Sports Bar at Casino - The Carbon Bar

Just when you thought the Casino had finally done us a favour and provided a venue for late night rugby.....your wrong.

We went there straight from the airport last night to watch Scotland v France only to find out they don't even have Setanta......so it's sort of a sports bar.

I must admit the screen/s are pretty impressive but it seem they favour soccer at the moment.

I hope there is some communication with Burswood before the Force get to South Africa, hate to end up there agian only to find out the soccer is on.

Anyone at Burswood listening???

Last time i was there was about 2/3 weeks ago on a saturday night. One of the huge screens was showing Force vs Reds from last year

It looks like they show Fox Sports 1, 2 & 3 as well as ESPN.

Very disappointed that they aren't showing anything from Setanta given all the hype surrounding their grand opening.

Well....you just foiled any possibility of me getting off my round pimply and making the trek up there....I can watch Fox Sports at home!...and the beer's cheaper......All I have to do is invite some mates around ant it gets as rowdy as most sports bars...and somebody usually springs for the grog so I drink free all night.......Ahh I like my life!

I'm an "atmosphere" junkie, I love being apart of the crowd, Rugby, Cricket, Football etc etc

hopefuly my new seats in block 322 i think will be good. I enjoy going to pubs etc to watch a big game as well, like i said, apart of the crowd, apart of the atmosphere

I agree with the atmosphere thing Jargan, and was a regular attender of pubs to watch Brumbies games before the :force;....That seems to have pretty much stopped for me with the formation of the :force; A couple of things would factor into this phenomenon.
1 I signed up for Foxtel in the middle of 2006 season because I was sick to death of missing away matches
2 The atmosphere at a pub is a long way short of the atmosphere of a game
3 Last outing at a pub was Force v Reds 2006 came away smelling of smoke after having sat at a table behind 1/2 a dozen navy gus (all Qld supporters) That atmosphere sucked.

In short, I can bar the rabble entry to my house...since I don't smoke I don't have to worry about that (OK you don't neet to tell me it's now banned in pubs I get that, but it was a factor when I stopped) and the Mrs doesn't get pissy about how much money I spend on Fox Sports which I could be using to buy flowers and shit!

Not arguing with guys who want to sit in a bigger crowd at all. I understand where you're coming from....These are just MY reasons!

This is just like when the Albion had the big sign out the front saying 'we will show all force games live' but they close at midnight! no good for watching the games in south africa! This could go in the feather ruffling thread too I guess.

We need a rugby only bar! Oh that would be so cool!

Maybe Rugby Wa needs to connect Fox to the clubhouse and have a shindig there.....profits stay in the club
