I think because there is a strong group of members who post on a regular basis and you all seem to be friends and do various Force things it seems kind of 'clicky', which can be intimidating...it can make posting for the first time hard to do because you want to make sure that you make a good impression...where as in other forums you can make a post that aren't particularly good and just get lost in the high turn-over in posters...if that makes sense...I mean, I was a lurker for about a year before I posted, and that was only because the SMH witchhunt had got me so riled up I couldn't hold it anymore...

I'm an ex-lurker, but the group booking + bus to and from JBs for the trial game was enough for me to de-lurk. As long as you love your rugby (and always have a few Tah Man jokes up your sleeve) you'll all fit in just fine.

I've never had a problem with people lurking - that's why I don't force people to join to read stuff (other than the super secret forums that only registered visitors can see)

We get up to 10 times as many "guest" visitors as members visiting - pushing 1000 people dropping by on some days!

Years of being Usenet has a tendency to make you a little immune to flames on forums.
