InnFORCERers Pre Season Tour 2008

After a quick Magners and photo at the home of TWF J.B O'Reilly's everyone was introduced to tour ball "bert" then we headed swiftly for the airport myself, Happy n Jedi in tow.

A brief detour which turned into an expedition to find short term parking saw us trekking across carparks and warehouses until we hit the check in, only to be told that bert wasn't fit to travel in the cabin in his bloated state.

A decision had to be made, deflate bert or put him in the hull alone.

Some Scottish and Australian ingenuity saw the wind quickly taken out of bert so we could travel as team.

Traveling light with hand luggage only, we had to take all aerosols out for x-ray. No big deal, you might think...but it turns out that Happy had run out of his usual roll-on...and obviously borrowed his new girlfriend 's pink spray-on.

So as we sit in the airport bar (no Qantas lounge Happy reckons), bert feeling pretty flat and the rest if us complaining that the strongbow is no magners (it is made in Campbelltown after all)! Happy attempts to get Matt to eat a salad sanger, an obviously impossible task, funnily enough five minutes later Jedi tries the same thing with sushi .. 'yeah mate' which roughly translates to Fat ****ing chance!

Boarding in 10 minutes. Bert seems to have all the cabin worried, each and every one of them checked to see he was deflated. Happy being the cheeky traveler he is got smart with the hostee and was told she would turn the plane around if wanted to be smart...not happy!

Free Fox halfway through the flight made the time fly while up in the overheads we suspected bert was feeling a little fuller?

A quick drive back from the airport and I dropped happy n jedi at the hotel and headed off for a steak at the railway hotel in South Melbourne and will meet up with boys tomorrow.

A pretty sore head for me this morning, Eley has arrived and been to Victoria Steet markets for a shop. Happy tells me bert is "chuffed" so I'm on my way to meet up with them in town (via few pubs of course). I haven't quiet hit the city limits yet, 6 pubs down so far on the Clarenden street strip.

The rest of the crew are off to 20/20 at the MCG, I'll be seeing them (i think) after that, until then...

Jeez You're getting your money's worth!

Lucky I had to buy an extra 50 balloons (they only come in 100 packs) I might just have enough left to supply other patrons.

I'll be there before 5:30 as well, I'll probably be pretty easy to spot (walking in with baloon swords and a 9 year old)
