I just got back from 3 days on the boat at Rotto and I did happen to see Mr Cox at The Hotel Rottnest. All I will say is he will be "jumping" much higher in the ruck in 2009 after the lesson those quokkas dealt him.

The day after Santa visited me, I was sitting quietly at the newly replaced island bar at Hotel Rottnest sipping a cold pint of Pipsqueak Cider (made by Little Creatures) and enjoying the view across Thompson's Bay to the city when out of the corner of my eye I spotted a tall, fairly skinny, dark haired 30ish guy sporting a black eye, bouce out from the shaded cover of some tea trees with mob of irate quokka's bouncing after him. I wasn't sure if the big fella was involved or weather it was just a game of quokka soccer gone wrong. I couldn't say if he/they were under the influence of alcohol, but I certainly was. Anyway after security had put an end to the disruption I saw him speaking with authorities while the mob of quokkas sat about reclined on thier hind legs pointing their paws at him. Based on past incidents with these little buggers, they do tend to play you into form so I am expecting a big year for him in 2009!
