Giteau And Shepherd Return To Training

Emirates Western Force stars Matt Giteau and Cameron Shepherd have returned to the main training group after compulsory annual leave, with both itching to put the Rugby World Cup behind them and focus on the upcoming Investec Super 14 season.

Giteau told local media that this was the first pre-season he could remember being a part of at professional level, and his desire to step into a leadership role both on and off the field.

After playing exclusively on the wing in 2007, Shepherd spoke of his goal to succeed Chris Latham in the Wallabies fullback jersey when the Queensland Reds legend hangs up his boots.
