Recently retired Emirates Western Force and Wallabies hooker Brendan Cannon has donned the All Blacks jersey to help the White Ribbon Day Foundation in its push to eliminate violence against women.

Canno says it's worth the embarrassment if it gets the message across.

"The statistics of violence against women in Australia are shocking and we need to break the cycle of violence," Canno says.

"I am extremely proud to be an ambassador for this campaign."
