Topic was TWF Chat - 61 days til Christmas - 100+ Days Till Super14 2008. Grandmothers Appreciation Night. When was the last time you talked to your nan?

Very quiet chat room tonight……FOR SHAME! I came in the chat room interrupting what sounded like a very important discussion about cars between Exile and Larry. …….Chrysler, rich people, Dodge Nitro, poor Seppa’s like Larry…..you get the idea!

Following a logical train of thought, we moved on to Christmas While Christmas is a personal favourite of mine, everyone else seems to prefer Boxing Day and NYE…felt like starting a poll….what does everyone think haha. However, I do agree with Larry, they start it way too early and its all about shopping. Products are already out and my advent calender is already in the fridge Being a Yankee, of course Larry wanted to know about what Boxing Day was…B&B told him it was beer + Ch.9, Exile told him it was drinking on his back deck til everyone passing out….Beav invited Larry to join us (Aussie Rednecks) all for Australia Day to drink beer all day and watch fireworks….and according to Larry watch the girls flash (apparently this is behaviour typical of people at NASCAR. Filled with sweet thoughts, Larry left us to go to work but not without a well-timed “(insert expletive)-OFF” aimed at an absent TLH.

From here, chat moved onto Summer Heights High, Ozzie Osbourne (touring Aus next March), Crosby Stills and Nash, Muse, BDO….apparently the latter gets worse every year …apparently its blasphemy to say this, even if it is probably the truth!! Apparently Eastern States tickets sell out pretty quick…just in case you’re wondering! For me, I would prefer to keep my money…… and my clothes.

Em came on in to the chat room and bdgf wanted to know the pub situation in Rose St…..apparently there are still quite a lot…though not all are reputable anymore. Em recommends Rose Street Brewery and Milne's. Bdgf went into REM mode…reminiscing about his experiences in said street over 30 years ago….only to interrupted by Krusher, coming in after taking care of the young’uns.

Beav and I took a brief hiatus to catch up on Summer Heights High (correctly picked up by B&B) and Exile decided to go pack, sleep and then train and plane and drive it to Geraldton or Gero if you’re a bogan….leaving B&B in charge and Krusher wanting to undertake a game of Blues Clues.

Krusher started some rugby fever up by wanting to know who was ready for next season. Some excited outbursts ensued and talk of new rules…Krusher is still bummed about having his last game pulled at the last minute…..and on an unrelated note is extremely talented when it comes to interrupting himself…WOW!

Harry came in for a minute and bdgf thought Harry was still at the Poms’ piss-up…leaving barely a minute later, evidently Harry still is at aforementioned function.
Some more talk of Summer Heights High…bdgf refuses to watch commercial channels unless its sport…B&B broke the news to bdgf that the show is on ABC.

B&B and I then chatted about how slow the chat room was going tonight…making for a effortless chat report write-up. B&B’s reasoning was:
1) People stagger in over a few hours.
2) Some people say nothing.
3) People leave.
With Exile gone, we were also free to talk about wrestling But only to mention that the Auckland ANZ Cup side and s14 team use WWE music when they come out and when they win. Before we could get too carried away, bdgf began a séance, trying to connect with his Grandmothers…apparently it worked and we are a bunch of a****soles (that’s a new one ) However, apparently she was always a grump….RIP bdgf’s nanas.


Beav came back to tell us how good Summer Heights High was and filled with happy thoughts, he and I both departed, with B&B voting to close proceedings….
