Rays Win Final

It's raining green and blue in the Central Coast tonight, after the Rays defeated the Melbourne Rebels 20-12 to take out the inaugural Australian Rugby Championship. Both teams scored two tries, but the Rays also slotted two penalties and an extra conversion to win the historic title. Despite being on the losing side, Rebels captain David Croft was named man of the match, while the game proved a fitting swan song for the England-bound Peter Hewat.
