It simply doesnt make any sense. How could the IP possibly be transfered prior to the Alliance agreement negotiations? Did that mean they had already obtained it and then negotiated the Alliance agreement on top.

So 3 days prior to the start of the 2015 Rugby World Cup the ARU were assigned the IP?

    This is so confusing.

I think you are confusing the timeline. The IP was sold for $800K and was formally announced in Feb 2016. If that date extracted from all the gibberish is actually the date it was transferred, Q3 2015 still seems a bit early but not excessively so. The Alliance agreement was a different thing about getting hold of the license and was announced in August.

IP Australia has the transfer of IP Between May and June 2016. The "Head Case" TM is for 'Perth Gold', which also doesnt have anything for Sep 2015. As yet, no idea where the date comes from or what it relates to.

We got the first $800K in Feb 2016 when we handed over the IP.
And then the other $3mil odd when we signed our own death warrant (the alliance agreement) and handed over the licence about 5 months later.
I have no idea what that date in Sept 2015 indicates?

The Western Force comes up three times in the Trademark search and September 2015 is mentioned in all of them. You can expand on the history in each item.

Sorry to say Bakkies, I just can't get motivated to comment anymore.

It just looks like the best WA talent who haven't been signed by the overspending and underfunded Rebels will be all that is left for IPRC.

Wallaby eligibility is no longer even an issue, the players that are left will be completely off the radar for Wallaby selection anyway because they don't play for the Tahs or the Rebels.

I can't fathom why the "Heart"land unions aren't screaming bloody murder about what's going on.

I wonder if ex VRU schoolboy Cameron Clyne has given any advice to Baden Stephenson or Rob Clarke in the last month or two?

I've been wondering lately how many players that have signed with the rebels will be disheartened half way through next year and be tapping on Hodgo's door begging for a start in the IPRC.

Waratahs not happy about the salary cap and Rebel recruiting. Rebellion?

Rugby Australia's decision to waive the Super Rugby salary cap to allow teams to absorb Western Force players is "economic madness", NSW Waratahs chairman Roger Davis says.

This is really stupid... Can't believe after everything they are increasing the cap.. but still only giving out a 5mill grant, I wonder how much extra went to Cameron Clyne's Melbourne Rebel Franchise

While the limits on the $5 million salary cap and 30 squad numbers have been temporarily lifted during a "transition" stage, Rugby Australia has not increased the $5 million grants to the Super Rugby teams.

"The salary cap was grounded in economic reality and that was basically what you could afford to pay and still be profitable," Davis said.
